Founded in 1974, Kimco Magnetics is one of the original pioneers to commercialize products made with rare earth magnet materials. Kimco Magnetics was acquired in 1984 by BEI Technologies and then by Schneider Electric in 2005, and was subsequently added to the business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies in 2006. We have merged leading-edge capabilities and cost effective manufacturing know-how with highly personalized applications expertise. This combination has propelled BEI Kimco Magnetics into market dominance where we have remained a leading manufacturer of brushless DC motors and linear and rotary voice coil actuators for over 35 years. In that time, we have put thousands of BEI Kimco motors and actuators into products in markets ranging from medical and automotive to office and factory automation.

The hysteresis-free, cog-free operation and high acceleration rate make voice coils ideal for limited stroke requirements. Voice Coil Actuators available in both Linear and Rotary versions. Linear versions offer strokes up to 4” and forces up to 225 Lbs.Rotary versions are available with up to 30 degrees of total excursion angle and a maximum torque of 1000 oz-in. Both offer infinite positioning capabilities for your application.
