BEI Kimco Magnetics Division announces availability of the LA50-65-001A Model. This voice coil actuator is one of Kimco’s largest and most powerful linear actuators. The LA50-65-001A has a diameter of 5” and a linear stroke of 1” (i.e. +/-.5” from mid-stroke). This model provides a peak force of 225 lbs and accelerations up to 72g’s. The actuator has a cylindrical configuration and can operate at temperatures of up to 155°C.

The strong force available from the LA50-65-001A model along with the fast dynamic response provides the performance needed in high-performance servo applications where both speed and accuracy are important. BEI Kimco Magnetics offers Linear Actuators to fit application needs from our small 1mm at 0.7N to our larger size of 25mm at 1000N. Applications include actuators for fast valves in respiration equipment, autofocus capability in optical systems and active damping in instrumentation.
